Two Weeks

We are at the two week mark and the puppies are changing a lot this week. They all are growing well and showing no signs of slowing down in that department!  They all have had their little toe nails trimmed twice now and they are starting to become 'little dogs' and less like guinea pig looking!

Alison

Little squeaks are turning into small barks, and tiny growls as their eyes opened and they are starting to see blurred shapes now. They are starting to sit up now and try and 'look' around at their surroundings.

Brad

The also have started to hear our voices now, as we can wake them by calling "puppy, puppy, puppy"  They are becoming more active now after feeding, some of them starting to feebly play by mouthing our fingers, each other, and the blanket they lie on.

Caleb

Lily is spending less time with the litter, accompanying us with our daily strolls around the yard, she actually spent a great deal of time outside with me yesterday as I opened the chicken coops and tidy up in the yard.

Emma
They have all started to find their legs now, and they all toddle around, looking for Mum as she is not so accommodating when she lies down in the whelping box for a feeding time.  This is the natural way of teaching the pups to move around and get mobile quickly.

Eric
There certainly is a difference between the girls and boys in size, with Alison and Rachel larger of the three females and Emma smaller in frame. Brad, Eric, and Caleb seem to still be the three large boys and all
very similar in colour so if you think you've seen two pictures of Brad - you probably have! It was very difficult telling them apart at such a young age, but becoming less of a problem now.

Rachel

I've started to take the pups outside for photo sessions as the lighting is better, but it also gives them something different to smell, a cooler environment,  which can be a very limited stress for them to deal with. The are only outside moments for photos, but will be taken out for longer periods of time as they get older.
Ryan
The entire family  can be found packing a puppy around the house this week, either having them cuddle with us on the couch or we are carrying him/her around upstairs for a change and get the accustomed to voices and talking.
