Here is the card I've entered in 'Die-ing for a Challenge' Where you enter a card with the rules and regulations that are set for the Challenge. This is 'anything goes' but you have to use a die, here I've got a Marieanne Die and a die florish from CherryLynn designs. The sunflower is a layered punch (bought at a garage sale) and the leaves are crimped after cut by my cricut.
Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Blog Candy
Hey - I've entered my very first Blog Candy Draw from Wild Orchid Crafts!
I'm so excited, as I really love the flowers that this company makes.
I hope to purchase a few in the near future to be found on a card near you.
Have a great weekend

My little Joy of Crafting
This is a card I made last week. During my 14 days of Valentines, where I created 14 cards and posted them to my facebook page. Some where not as sophiscated as this one, but they certainly were fun to do.
During my 14 days of Valentines, I went a Blogging..
....while I Blogged, I learned a whole lot about card making and what makes a good card over a bad one. A lot of it is personal taste, and supplies on hand, and colour arrangement. I saw a lot of really beautiful cards that are well above and beyond my limits, and some I feel I could do better (if that was me making them)
Making cards is my 'off time' hobby. It makes me feel good about what I'm doing, and brings joy to those who look upon them and receive them.
Hopefully I will have the time to continue doing this all year round, however, work cramps out the time it takes to create these paper masterpieces, but keep track of me on this Blog - I may just surprise you with a card now and then!
Enjoy and have a great weekend,
Barb

The Good Wife's Guide
Found this in a magazine... this dates back to 1955
Have Dinner Ready.
Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have been thining about him and are concernd about his needs. Most men are hungry when they get home and the prospect of a good meal is part of the warm welcome needed.
Prepare Yourself.
Take 15 mintues to rest so you'll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking. He has just been with a lot of work-weary people.
(yeah -and I've been home eating bon bons all day!)
Be a litte 'gay' and a little more interested for him.
His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it.
( I will make him a card!)
Clear away the clutter.
Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives. Run a dust cloth over the tables. (does this include my card making/scrapbooking area?)
During the cooler months of the year you should prepare and light a fire for him to unwind by.
Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you a lift too. After all, catering to his comfort will provide you with immense personal satisfaction.
(really?)
Minimize all noise.
At the time of his arrival, eliminate all the noise of the washer, dryer or vacuum. Encourage the children to be quiet.
(I'll gag the lot - dogs included)
Be happy to see him.
Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him.
(What? be a dog?)
Listen to him.
You may have a dozen importan things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first-remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours.
Don't greet him with Complaints and problems.
Don't complain if he's late for dinner or even if he stays out all night. Count this as minor compared to what he might have gone through at work.
Make him comforatable.
Have him lean back in a comfartable chair or lie him down in the bedroom. Have a cool or warm drink ready for him.
Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes.
Speak in a low., soothing and pleasant voice.
Don't ask him questions about his actions or question his judgement or integrity.
Remember, he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his fairness and truthfulness. You have no right to quesiton him.

My Birthday-
I spent this day (not only getting old) but Zip lining... Wow!
Doug, Mary, Jon and I spent a very hot and humid summer trying our skills at zip lining this July.
We had a lovely litter of puppies to care for over the summer, our ES Sandie had 9 pups, and we decided this year we were going to keep one... so without further ado ...
Presenting her royal Highness....
Farm's Pride Tiger Lily
She's a lovely little black masked devil.
Her Indian name is "Lily Goat" since she can't keep her mouth off anything.
Well, Ducks, we got ducks and that means I gave Jon a project to do-

- a Canon EOS T3i
I've had a lot of fun playing with it over the past few months, these ae a few photos
of why I love my new camera. Not only is it automatic, I can use it manually, like my old
friend from 1983, Pentax K1000, and take some lovely shots.
Enjoy these as much as I did taking them...
